Reality Manipulations

This is a book created in response to the reading of Walter Benjamin’s essay "The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction". It is a book around the theme of the integration of art into the practice of everyday life and about how our perception of objects or happenings is what makes the meaning of a piece vary depending of one’s education, culture, age, etc. To make a parallel with this idea the book was designed in a quite subversive way. An Argos catalog (UK catalog retailer) was appropriated to create the content of the book, in reference to the everyday life and to an immense variety of objects.
